The profession development policy outlines the requirement for all staff to ensure that they are continually updating their progressional knowledge and skills to support the organisation and its stakeholders to ensure the delivery of all training programmes are provided by fully trained and competent staff.

Ensure staff have the knowledge and skills to confidently carry out their role and responsibilities.
Equality & Diversity, Safeguarding, Health and Safety knowledge and related areas of development are provided to all staff to ensure that they are up to date.
To ensure professional development is record and monitored by the professional development lead (Kieran England), ensuring staff have a working CPD plan at all times
The Safeguarding team actively promotes learning to all staff which includes any updates within the industry or regulations for prevent, radicalisation and sexual exploitation.
Responsibilities
Managers
To revise, develop and inform all staff of all policies and procedures.
To continually keep updated of the ESFA, DFE, Education Inspection Framework and requirements for inspection by attending awareness sessions and training events. To ensure all staff members are informed of changes to the framework and of the company developments within meeting the standards.
Continually improve the management of targets, procedures and systems.
To lead & promote equality and diversity in the working environment and ensure training takes place.
Develop self and complete appropriate awards as required to include Management or Learning and Development Qualifications and Functional Skills as identified.
To promote and develop e-learning and e-assessment\verification knowledge and skills
To attend all safeguarding training and ensure full understanding, implementing and following all Company policy and procedures.
To ensure OTLA activity is carried out as planned and that feedback is provided to relevant staff to support improvements.
To ensure all team members have a CPD plan,which is reviewed each month and updated every quarter.
Internal Verifiers, Assessors, and Tutors
All assessment/training staff must hold an Assessor qualification or be working towards them. All delivery staff must hold a level 4 teaching qualification or enrol on Level 4 teaching qualification and achieve this in an agreed timescale.
Assessment staff must have a relevant level 3 qualification and be verified to be assessed by the relevant awarding organisation.
Quality assurance staff to have a level 4 IQA qualification and to be verified by the relevant awarding organisation.
Teaching standards is aligned to the ETF professional standards with quarterly standardisation activities (https://www.et-foundation.co.uk/professional-standards/)
Training, development and standardisation is aligned with updates from relevant EPAO’s, Sector skills council (e.g. Skills Active), trade organisations (e.g. CIMSPA) and awarding organisations e.g. Active IQ). the ESFA or DFE. A review is undertaken by the curriculum lead every 6 months to review developments. If there is a significant change identified through an update (e.g. regulatory bulletin) then training is undertaken and changes implemented within 4 weeks.
Attend Functional Skills training events/standardisation as appropriate.
Complete Functional Skills award for English and Maths at the appropriate level.
Updating Occupational skills and knowledge on a regular basis.
To have sufficient members of staff holding Internal Verifier awards in each occupational area
Staff to attend regular meetings and up date review and amend practice in line with institute for apprenticeships, Ofsted and End point assessment organisations
Staff will attend planned equality and diversity training and promote equality and raise awareness of opportunity within the workplace and the company.
Attend all related standardisation meetings.
Develop E-Learning and e-assessment\verification knowledge and skills
To attend all safeguarding & prevent training and ensure full understanding.
To implement and follow all Company policy and procedures.
Support Staff
To be aware of Skills Funding Agency and Education Inspection Framework requirements and to continually update knowledge.
To continually develop an excellent customer service response.
To continually update & develop systems in administration in line with Skills Funding Agency requirements
To promote equality and diversity in the working environment.
To promote a healthy and safe environment in the workplace.
To attend all safeguarding training and ensure full understanding and implementation of all Company policy and procedures.
Equality of Opportunity and Diversity Representative
To further develop and monitor the Equal Opportunities and Diversity policy and procedures for its effectiveness in raising awareness.
Monitor the promotion of Equality of Opportunity and Diversity in the workplace with both apprentices and staff.
Attend any training in line with Equal Opportunity and Diversity and feedback information to the staff.
Assist with OFSTED inspections and self-assessment.
To ensure Equality of Opportunity and Diversity is in operation in all training and assessment provision and employers establishments
To attend all safeguarding training and ensure full understanding and implementation of
all Company policy and procedures.
Health and Safety Representative
To maintain an effective way of monitoring provision and further develop the systems and procedures.
To develop and update the knowledge of good practice and transmit that information to all staff.
Obtain any qualifications required by the funding bodies, Skills Funding Agency and workplace practices.
To develop a practice that enables the company to keep informed of changes in legislation and practice and to disseminate that information to all staff.
To continually develop health and safety workplace practice and inform all Elev8 Training staff and Employers of required practices when appropriate.
To attend all safeguarding training and ensure full understanding.
Ensure all company policies are understood and followed
